2022 Daily Bible Reading Challenge
Studies show that due to events over the last two years, people have been returning to Church in droves. While we are living in uncertain times that threaten to steal our peace and joy, and have caused so much heartbreak and division, these are exciting times with new opportunities to lean on God’s Word and His promises like never before.
Starting January 1, we are launching a challenge for girls, moms and dads all over the world to read their Bible daily, in one year. Last summer, dozens of families participated in our “Summer Daily Bible Reading Challenge” and we can’t wait to see how many sign-up for our year-long challenge. What might God do in America, and around the world if we turn our hearts towards Him like never before? May it be as in Romans 1:8 in which Paul told the Romans “…your faith is being reported all over the world.”
My Bible in one-year experience
I have always loved reading the Bible, but up until about two years ago, my reading was unstructured and primarily for research and study. Then, a friend gave me a “Change Your Life Daily Bible”, which is the entire Bible organized into 365 readings, and it has, indeed, been life changing.
I’ll be honest, at first, following a reading plan felt impersonal, like I was checking something off my to-do list, but in no time, I found myself immersed in God’s Word, often wanting to skip ahead to the following day to find out what happened next. Something else happened, too-I began to feel God’s Word come alive in me in a whole new way. Not only did I feel the constant presence and companionship of the Holy Spirit throughout the day, I began to rest in the truth of God’s Word like never before. I felt more peaceful, joyful, and assured.
My heart is burdened for girls. There is a battle raging for their hearts and minds, and so many of them are unaware that the answers, strategies and direction they need is found in the living and active Word of God. James 4:8 tells us when we draw near to God, He will draw near to us, and Psalm 119:14 tells us God is our refuge and shield, and His Word is our source of hope.
Discipling girls in their God-given purposes starts with reading the Bible.
I hope you and your daughter will join us for our 2022 Daily Bible Reading Challenge. If you do, it will change your life.
