There is a divine synergy that occurs when women’s hearts and minds are knitted together for a purpose greater than themselves. We consider that divine synergy empowerment, because true empowerment comes from our Creator.
Empowerment is not about who we are, what we accomplish, or self-advancement. It’s about advancing the Kingdom of God and fulfilling the purposes that He has designed and created us for and coming alongside and calling out the purposes and destiny we see in others.
This empowerment means one woman’s success does not take away from another’s success or value because we were all created equally in God’s image, with unique designs and purposes.
This empowerment can be demonstrated in many ways. Whether it’s encouraging a friend to chase her dreams, supporting a friend’s business, discipling a small group of girls, meeting a practical need like babysitting or preparing a meal, or giving of your time, talent, or treasure-empowered women empower women. To serve is to empower.
Empowered women live, serve and lead with strength, dignity and virtue, while living out the pillars of Philippians 4:8, and look for those who they can empower.
We must model this empowerment in our community, particularly to the younger generation of women and young girls, because this empowerment is contagious and outlives us.
“To serve is to empower.”
We must celebrate and encourage this empowerment, and we are doing so at our annual Empowering Women Brunch and Awards event, at which six women will receive our Empowering Women Award in one of six categories.
