Girls, you matter.
God created you in His image; He had a plan for you right from the very beginning. Even though the world tells us—as women—we have to be powerful and in control, God tells us we are loved, we have a purpose, and it is in our very weaknesses that His strength and glory are revealed.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
all the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be. Psalm 139:14, 16 NIV
We have been set free from striving. We have been set free from the demands of the world. We have been set free from the world’s idea of who we should be when we simply embrace God’s design of who we already are.
Set apart.
The work of His hands.
That something in your heart that is burning to be done, He put it there. Your love and your passion for His kingdom. Your talents and gifts and interests. The things He draws you to and says “Do this in remembrance of Me.” All from Him, planned by Him since before He even formed you.
This day has been set aside specifically for you to do this thing He has called you to do. And no matter what the world has to say about it, it matters because you matter to Him.
For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Eph 2:10 NLT
I can’t say it enough: you matter.
Let’s go show the world they matter, too.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19, NIV
