Recently my oldest son asked me what I think about the upcoming election.
My response was I have so many concerns if our country continues the path it’s been on for the past 8 years.
My concern is for the country this little boy and the other 5 grandchildren we love so much will be raised in and live in for the next 100 years.
Believers must take seriously the responsibilities we have to the generations coming behind us. These precious little ones are at the mercy of the adults, wise and unwise, who are making decisions now which will effect these babies for the rest of their lives.
So I pray.
Diligently.
Continuously.
And I have hope and faith there will be men and women of character and integrity and honesty who will step into this mess of a government and be bold and courageous leaders.
We must have them if America is to stay the home of the free. And the brave.
Please pray for the leaders.
Pray for this election.
Ask God to guide them and protect our nation.
For the sake of the children.
Truths and Takeaways
We must teach our generations:
“We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children.” Psalm 78:4-6
God hears our prayers:
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18:29
He will bless us:
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for his inheritance.” Psalm 33:12
He tells us how to get His blessings:
“if MY people, who are called by my name, (1) will humble themselves and (2) pray and (3) seek my face (4) and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
