Erin Bishop is the Founder and President of Whatever Girls. Whatever Girls exist to empower girls, support moms, and inspire dads through resources, products, and community. Erin is a contributing writer for MomLife Today. She and her husband live in Washington State, have a grown daughter and son in law, and a teenage son.
Yvonne, 16 years old, has a desire to see God do great things too, through and for her, this generation and the ones to follow. She is a junior in high school and also participates in running start at Spokane Community College. She has aspirations to attend Howard University but is willing to wait on what God has for her. She recently started a job as a barista. She serves at her local church with the youth as a media relations person and is involved with bridging the gap with the youth and the church's women's ministry. She is the younger generations ministry coordinator. She has a heart to see others reach their potential in Christ as well as finding their identity in Him.
Susan Norris is the Founder and Executive Director of Rescuing Hope and has been involved in the fight against sex trafficking in America since 2010. Her passion is to raise awareness about the issue, educate potential victims and first responders, and encourage and empower survivors to live an abundant life.
Susan is a wife and the mother of two adult children. She and her husband live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Joanna Teigen and her husband, Rob, are the co-authors of 88 Great Daddy-Daughter Dates, A Dad’s Prayers for His Daughter, and A Mom’s Prayers for Her Son. She enjoys homeschooling, marriage mentoring, and life and laughter with their five children. She makes her home in West Michigan.
Brenda Yoder has Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a B.A. in Education. She’s a speaker and freelance writer on faith, life, and parenting. Brenda Yoder’s ministry, Life Beyond the Picket Fence, reaches women who are struggling with difficult issues in life, faith, and parenting. Her passion at Whatever Girls is encouraging moms and daughters who are struggling with hard subjects, difficult relationships, and unspoken pain.
Grace loves to cook, make coffee, drink tea, spend time outdoors, watching sunsets, and spend time with good friends talking about God. She and her husband live in Washington State.
Joneal Kirby, Ph.D., is founding director of Heartfelt Ministry, a women’s mentoring program and conference. She is the author of three books and over fifty Bible studies. Dr. Kirby earned a PhD in marriage and family therapy and has taught about marriage and parenting for more than thirty years in churches, hosted the Legacy Network’s talk show Girlfriends, is a popular conference speaker, and is the host of Heartfelt Radio.
Rhema is an 8th grader in Spokane. She is on ASB at school and knows her mission at school is to be a light in the darkness and to influence students and staff for Jesus at her school. Outside of school, she dances tap, hip hop, lyrical and jazz. She loves little people and helps in children’s ministry at her church and helps teach dance to 4 year olds at her dance school. She is actively involved at her youth group and loves helping new people feel at home at church. She has a heart to make sure others feel included and never excluded.
Rob Teigen is the author of the bestselling Laugh-Out-Loud Jokes for Kids, part of the popular Laugh-Out-Loud series of kids’ joke books and doodle books. He and his wife, Joanna, co-authored 88 Great Daddy-Daughter Dates, A Dad’s Prayers for His Daughter, and A Mom’s Prayers for Her Son. He has been a publishing professional for more than fifteen years. Rob lives in West Michigan, where in his spare time he enjoys laughing out loud with his wife and five children.
Kim is a member of City Life Church Leadership team with a degree in Sociology. A wife of 23 years and mother of two, Kim is currently enrolled in Portland Bible College (never stop learning and growing). Her passion is helping women of all ages really understand how much God loves them. Kim was honored to be a speaker in a media seminar at the 2013 Christian Women in Media Association National conference in Texas. She is also a blog writer at Heartfelt Ramblings of a Midlife Domestic Goddess.
Rick founded Better Dads, a fathering skills program, based on the urgent need to empower men to lead and serve in their families and communities. Rick’s books have expanded his ministry to include influencing the whole family, with life-changing insights for men and women on parenting, marriage, and personal growth. Inspiring and equipping through innovative multimedia presentations and seminars, Rick’s work has been transforming the lives of men, women, and their families for over 12 years.
Tracy graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in Interior Design in 1998. Eager to change her clients’ lives by improving the interior space they occupied, she thought she had the blueprints for her future completed. Then she met and fell in love with Jesus Christ, and He changed everything. God’s true design for Tracy involves improving the interior space of the hearts and minds of women around her. She contributes to many sites like Whatever Girls and Believe.com.
Blythe Thimsen is a writer and editor from Spokane, Washington. She graduated from Westmont College with a B.A. in Communication Studies, before returning to the Northwest to pursue her writing career. She is the author of Spokane’s Stories: 28 Stories of the People, Places and Events That Have Shaped Spokane (released November 2014).
